Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 May 2026

1. What this page covers

This Cookie Policy explains how AlphaLab-AI uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on alphalab-ai.com. It complements our Privacy Policy and applies to anyone who visits the Service, with or without an account.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit the same site, the browser returns the cookie so the site can recognise you (typically: keep you signed in, remember your preferences). Cookies are site-specific — the cookies set by AlphaLab-AI are only readable by AlphaLab-AI, not by other sites you visit.

The same applies, technically, to local storage and session storage — modern browser APIs that store key-value data per origin. We treat them with the same care as cookies.

3. The cookies we currently set

We deliberately keep the cookie list small. As of the “Last updated” date above, the only cookies we set are essential to the Service:

NamePurposeDurationCategory
als_sessionKeeps you signed in. Opaque session token bound to the account on the server.24 hoursEssential
als_consentRecords that you have seen and acknowledged this cookie policy, so we don't show the banner on every page.6 monthsEssential
__cf_*Cloudflare network cookies used to route traffic, block bot traffic, and protect the site from DDoS. Set automatically by our CDN.Up to 30 daysEssential

We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, social-network widgets, or fingerprinting libraries. We do not sell or rent any cookie data.

4. If we ever add non-essential cookies

Should we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will:

  • Update this page (with a new “Last updated” date).
  • Notify subscribers by email if the change is material (typically: at least 14 days before the new cookie is set).
  • Make the new category opt-in by default in the consent banner. You will not start being tracked without an explicit click on “Accept” or a granular opt-in.

When we evaluate analytics, our strong preference is privacy-friendly tools that don't use cookies or personally identify users (e.g. Plausible, Fathom). Tools that build advertising profiles will not be added.

5. How to manage cookies

From AlphaLab-AI. Clear the als_consent cookie from your browser's site-data settings to see the consent banner again. Sign out from any page to expire your als_session cookie.

From your browser. Every modern browser has cookie controls in its settings menu. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete cookies on exit, or remove individual cookies. Blocking the essential cookies above will sign you out and break parts of the Service that require an active session.

6. Do Not Track

We honour the spirit of the “Do Not Track” signal where a browser sends one: even with the essential cookies, we never build a tracking profile of you across sessions or sites. There is no setting required.
