Refund Policy

1. Summary
We want you to be confident before paying. In short:
- Monthly & annual subscriptions: cancel any time. We refund the unused portion on a prorata basis (full days remaining ÷ full days in the billing period × the amount paid).
- One-off Expert Advisor licences: refundable in full within 7 days of purchase, as long as the licence has not been activated against a live MetaTrader account number.
- Free trials: no charge while the trial is active. Cancel before it ends and you are never billed.
- Refund window: we process refund requests within 14 days of receipt. Funds reach your card or wallet in 5–10 additional business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
2. Subscription refunds (prorata)
When you cancel a paid subscription before the end of its billing period, we refund the unused portion calculated as:

- You buy a 12-month subscription for USD 240 on 1 January and cancel on 1 April (3 months in, 9 months remaining). Refund: USD 240 × (275 ÷ 365) ≈ USD 180.82.
- You buy a 1-month subscription for USD 24 on 1 January and cancel on 16 January (15 days in, 16 days remaining). Refund: USD 24 × (16 ÷ 31) ≈ USD 12.39.
The prorata calculation uses calendar days rounded to the nearest cent. Where local tax (VAT, sales tax) was added to your invoice, it is included in the refund proportionally.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless you explicitly request an immediate cancellation as part of the refund. If you keep using the Service until the end of the period (the default), no refund is due because you received the full benefit.
3. One-off Expert Advisor licences
Some Expert Advisors are sold as one-off licences rather than subscriptions. These are refundable in full within 7 days of purchase, provided that the licence has not been activated against a live MetaTrader account number.
“Activation” means binding the licence to a specific MT4 / MT5 account identifier via our licensing server. Once activated, the licence is considered consumed and is not refundable, because the software is then unrestricted on your account and we cannot recover the executable from your machine.
If you are unsure whether the EA suits your account before buying, we recommend trying a subscription Plan first (subscription Plans get the prorata refund described in §2) or testing the EA in a free trial.
4. Non-refundable items
The following are not refundable:
- Educational content marked as a one-off purchase (courses, ebooks).
- Add-on services that have been delivered or consumed (e.g. one-on-one configuration sessions, custom optimisation runs).
- Third-party fees passed through to brokers, prop firms, VPS providers, or affiliate partners — those refunds (if any) are governed by the third party's own policy.
- Account-credit balances, gift cards, and promotional credit.
- Charges that have already been refunded once for the same billing period (we do not issue duplicate refunds).
5. Cooling-off rights for consumers in the EU, UK and similar jurisdictions
If you are a consumer (an individual buying for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession) resident in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable consumer-protection laws, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the contract, in addition to the refund rights above.
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m) and similar national rules, that statutory right does not apply to the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium once performance has begun with your prior express consent, with acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. When you start using our Service or download our software within the 14-day period, you give that consent and lose the statutory withdrawal right.
Our contractual refund terms (§2 and §3 above) apply in any case, and are normally more favourable than the bare statutory minimum.
6. Refunds for incorrect billing
If you believe you were charged in error — duplicate charge, charge after a successful cancellation, charge to a closed account — contact us within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and, if the charge is in error, refund the disputed amount in full plus any directly-attributable bank fee you can evidence.
7. Chargebacks
We prefer resolving billing issues directly. If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer before contacting us, we may suspend your account while the chargeback is in dispute, and we reserve the right to recover the chargeback fee and any other reasonable costs.

8. How to request a refund
Email support@alphalab-ai.com from the email address on your account, with:
- Your account email or user ID.
- The plan or product the refund relates to.
- The reason you are asking (we read every reason — it helps us improve).
We respond within 2 business days and process the refund within 14 days of receipt. The funds typically reach your card in 5–10 additional business days.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If a change is material (for example, a shorter EA refund window) we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect. Refunds for charges that occurred before a change are processed under the policy that was in force at the time of charge.
