AlphaLab Stability EA

Conservative MetaTrader automation for capital preservation.

Low-frequency, hard-stop driven automation for traders prioritising disciplined execution and drawdown control.

Strategy overview

Mean-reversion entries on H1/H4 around session-open volatility, filtered by an ADX-based regime gate to skip strongly trending periods. Hard stop-loss on every position. Optional news pause via the configured economic calendar provider.

Stability EA is a low-turnover conservative automation system designed for traders whose priority is capital preservation over absolute return. It places a small number of trades per week, always with a fixed stop-loss, and refuses to enter when spreads exceed a configurable threshold or during configured news windows.

Who it is for

  • Traders with $5,000+ capital prioritising controlled, slow growth.
  • Investor-style accounts looking for a hands-off conservative automation layer.
  • Users who already lost capital to martingale EAs and want a documented hard-stop alternative.

Who it is not for

  • Traders looking for double-digit monthly returns — the system targets steady, low-volatility growth.
  • Day-traders who want frequent intraday action — the EA may go days without a trade.

Setup requirements

Broker requirements

ECN/STP broker with low-spread FX majors, hedging account, and standard MT4/MT5 server. Symbol suffixes auto-detected.

VPS recommendation

Recommended. Any region close to your broker server (typically London or New York) at 2 GB RAM and 1 vCPU is sufficient.

Known limitations

  • Strongly trending markets are filtered out, which can produce extended flat periods.
  • Performance is sensitive to spread widening; the EA refuses to trade at high spread.
  • Backtest results are not guarantees of future performance; live results depend on broker execution.

FAQ

  • The regime gate filters out strongly trending markets. Stability EA is mean-reversion focused — fewer trades is by design, not a bug.
